LANI Scholarship 2024-2025 is Open – Apply Now

The LANI Scholarship 2024 program is now open to apply for all interested and eligible college students. LANI Scholarship means the Lifeline Assistance for Neighbors In-need Scholarship program. The Government of Taguig City is calling in applications from interested college students to apply for the LANI Scholarship program for the school year 2024-2025.

Mayor Maria Laarni L. Cayetano of Taguig City has committed that under her leadership, all Taguigeños are special and all should be given fair opportunity to study, find work, and have a brighter future. She believes that education plays an important role towards the social progress and human development. This is the reason that the Taguig City Scholarship Program was established under the Lifeline Assistance for Neighbors In-need (L.A.N.I.) Program in 2011.

Since 2011, this scholarship program has tens and thousands of students in the Taguig City. Through this scholarship program, Mayor Lani believes that she can reach out to thousands of students who are in need of financial support and help them with the scholarship.

Target Beneficiaries

  • HONORS: Top 10 graduates of Public High School in Taguig.
  • PREMIER: Passed the UPCAT in any Luzon campus, or other Higher Education Institutions (HEI) classified as Centers of Excellence whether public or private.
  • PRIORITY: Courses and School listed in DOST’S priority plus Persons With Disability and those taking up Law and Medicine in selected top performing schools.
  • BASIC PLUS (public to public): Graduate of Public High School in Taguig or contagious Local Government Units (LGU) in the National Capital Region (NCR) and are enrolled in an State Universities and Colleges (SUC) or Local Colleges and Universities (LCU).
  • BASIC (public to private): Graduate of Public High School in Taguig or contagious Local Government Units (LGUs) in the National Capital Region (NCR) and are enrolled in the Private HEIs in the NCR.
  • SUC/LUC (private to public): Graduate of Private High School in Taguig or contagious Local Government Units (LGUs) in the National Capital Region (NCR) and are enrolled in the Public HEIs in the NCR such as SUCs or LCUs.
  • REVIEW: Graduate of tech-voc, degree, medical or law courses required by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) or the Supreme Court (SC) to take board / bar examinations.
  • LEAD: Taking up Masteral or Doctoral Courses who are working in Taguig as national government employee; city employee; barangay employee; or private school teachers in schools in Taguig.

Who can apply for LANI Scholarship

Students who meet the following qualifications are eligible to apply for LANI Scholarship program:

  • The applicant must be a Bona fide resident of Taguig City for at least three (3) years immediately preceding the application.
  • Must be a registered voter of the City if 18 years old or older, and with at least one of the parents also a registered voter of the City.
  • Must be of good moral character both in paper and in deeds.
  • Determined to finish the course or pass the bar/board examination.
  • Committed to love and serve Taguig City.

Documentary Requirements

The list of documents required to apply for LANI Scholarship is as follows:

Applicants should prepare two (2) sets of documents to apply for LANI Scholarship, which are as follows:

  • SET 1 (Authenticated/Certified True copies and photocopies) to be submitted to Taguig Scholarship Office
  • SET 2 (Original Copies) – for verification

List of documents required

  1. Official Form/Registration Form/Certificate of Matriculation for the semester/term applied for.
  2. Certificate of Grades last semester with school seal/official signature (For Trimester and Quarter Terms, grades for the past two (2) terms.
  3. Junior High School Certificate/Grade 10 Report Card/Certification from Principal of the school that the applicant graduated from (for New Applicant).
  4. Senior High School Diploma/Grade 12 Report Card/Certification from Principal of the school that the applicant graduated from (for New Applicant).
  5. School ID or any VALID Government-Issued ID (within the validity period, (back-to-back on a single page, bearing the applicant’s printed name and signature).
  6. List of acceptable IDs:
    • e-Card/UMID Card
    • Driver’s License
    • Passport
    • SSS ID
    • Voter’s ID
    • BIR (TIN ID)
    • Person’s with Disability (PWD) ID
    • Solo Parent ID
    • Barangay ID
    • Postal ID
    • PhilHealth ID
    • Philippine Identification (PhiliD/ePhildID/National ID)
    • AFP Beneficiary/Dependent’s ID
  7. Original Voter’s Certification of parent, and its photocopies (if available)
  8. Original Voter’s Certification of student, if 18 years old or older, and its photocopies (if available)
  9. Birth Certificate (issued by PSA/NSO/Civil Registry Office)

All interested and eligible college students can apply for the LANI Scholarship 2024-2025by visiting the Online Scholarship Notification page. Visit the scholarship application portal to know more about necessary documents, partner schools and priority courses.

NOTE: It is an advice to students to apply for the scholarships before the deadline date to avoid late minute hurry in application submission.
